Elay encourages collaboration and sport as a way of coping with difficult situations
As a result of an accident, Joseba has been quadriplegic for two years. After spending one year in bed he had to face a new life. The first step was to learn to breathe by himself again, and from then on he has improved by setting small goals, and making progress incrementally.
After these two years he has learned to play the drums and is able to get into and drive a car by himself. His belief in himself, and his will to live, combined with participating in sport, have been essential to his achievements.
Aitor´s experience and knowledge of adaptive sports has been of great value to the teamwork carried out along the way.
Aitor and Joseba visited us to present the results and to thank Elay for its contribution to their project. As Aitor told us during the visit to the plant: “With collaboration, effort and confidence in what you do, you can overcome any situation, no matter how difficult it may be.”
